Hi,

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. Are you using NetworkManager? Based on the log files provided, I can't tell what the cause may be. Sometimes, when NetworkManager isn't used we will see these more cryptic errors. We just released a new version in our PPA that removes the requirement for NetworkManager. So, if you're not using NetworkManager, please use this new version. You can use this version of the client by adding the beta PPA (deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntuone/beta/ubuntu karmic main ) to your package sources and then from a terminal session:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

If you are using NetworkManager, can you please try quitting the Ubuntu One client and then run the client from a terminal session and report any output?

ubuntuone-client-applet

Thank you,

Joshua

We have a fix you can try in our beta PPA. If you follow the steps in the following FAQ you should be able to try out this new fix: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+faq/836 If you are already using the beta PPA, then please check for and install the latest updates via Update Manager and then restart Ubuntu One.
