kubuntu 6.06 final: max resolution is wrong for my lcd

Bug Description

I have an Acer AL1952 a 19" lcd and both in the live dvd and after the installation the maximum resolution that I can set via GUI is 1024x768 instead of 1280x1024

driver used is nv because I have a nvidia 6600gt

The problem is:
I've upgraded from Dapper to Edgy via console, so I don't know if this bug is still present in Edgy installation.

I attach today's log and also the oldest log that I have that is for sure from Dapper, but not the installation one that I have no more.

Probably installation is still buggy in Edgy, but it's the only thing that I have not tested.

Dapper Live and installation -> suffer this bug
Edgy Live -> suffers this bug
Edgy installation -> not tested
