Bug Description

I made a simple SVG graphic with Inkscape (lines, text, some transparency). When I wanted to save a copy as a pdf, I chose the default options, but after clicking the OK button, no file was created. However, the list of recent files in the save as dialog shows a link to the pdf I wanted to create, but following the link is a dead end (as the file does not exist).

System: WinXP, Inkscape 0.47pre4

Could you attach the original SVG file that fails to export so that we can try to reproduce the issue?

Interestingly, several minutes later, a couple (maybe 5) of dialog windows popped up, indicating the execution of some perl (or python?) scripts, automatically disappeared again and were followed by a notification, that Inkscape had crashed (which it indeed did a few seconds later).

I tried it again, this time via "save as", with the same effect. I attached the SVG I used in the comment above. I hope this will help.

not reproduced with Inkscape 0.46+devel on OS X 10.5.8

Your file exports to PDF without any issues and looks identical in both PDF and Inkscape on-canvas rendering.

Not reproduced on Windows XP, Inkscape 0.47 and trunk revision 10938.
Could you please test a recent Inkscape version (http://inkscape.org/download/) and confirm the bug is fixed?
Thanks.
