Ever since I upgraded to 9.10 I get this or a similiar message about nouveau-kernel-source everytime I install updates or new programs. I am not on AMD64 though.

I had this problem for a while.
Finally followed the workaround in Bug #414780 (despite misgivings about doing self brain surgery).

removing nouveau-kernel-source and xserver-xorg-video-nouveau with synaptic (complete removal used, but I don't think there are many configuration files), and then reinstalling...

Went fine and no more errors during installations!

Ever since I upgraded to 8.10 and then 9.10 I get this or a similiar message about nouveau-kernel-source everytime I install updates or new programe. Help me. What we can do to solve this problem!?!?

So, one solution is to just remove nouveau-kernel-source and then install it again. I've managed to hit this, so it should be possible to not register the same Nouveau version twice with dkms.
