Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

There are some PDFs that I cannot print using Evince (I've attached an example). However, this is only true for the 64-bit edition of Ubuntu (in 32-bit, everything is working as expected).

Printing such a PDF from Evince sends it to the printer. It shows up in the queue and exits normally. However, the printer does not do anything. Also, it's not a printer problem because I've tried 2 different printers.

The problematic PDF prints without problems when using Adobe Reader.

Could you please try updating to the recently released libcairo2 1.8.8-2ubuntu1.1 package and see if it fixes your PDF printing issue?

I've tested it with the latest version of libcairo2 (1.8.8-2ubuntu1.1) and it works. Therefore, I think this bug (and also the one that has already been reported but Sebastien did not provide a link to) can be closed.

@ma2412ma - It's good to know that printing PDF's is now working for you. However unless you are the same person as Clemens Brunner I think we should leave this bug open until we hear from him/her.
