Bug Description

I have a lot of downloaded films (especially concerts) that I'd like to keep track of. Problem is, they are in an array of formats. I have some that are in a single avi-file, and some that are a collection of files like so:

$ ls video_ts/
video_ts.bup video_ts.vob vts_01_0.ifo vts_01_2.vob
video_ts.ifo vts_01_0.bup vts_01_1.vob vts_01_3.vob

Now, handling these files are easy with VLC, just choose "Open directory", and it plays like a DVD.

I use Gnome on Ubuntu, so I'd like to use Totem when I can. (It integrates well, and is getting better than it has been)

So, I'm wishing for:
Details > Video file > Open > "CHOOSE THIS DIRECTORY"
to be an option.

And to be able to have Totem as the default player, but make an entry on a per film basis that lets me use VLC for individual films.

A workaround would be to create a script that would launch the right player according to the type of video file or video directory.
