Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

I will certainly report this on the KDE site (together with the other bugs I have reported and had the same response to). But as people using Ubuntu will come here first to see how Canonical is handling bugs, I will continue to report them here. Feel free to palm them off. How that looks to your users is up to you. Similar bugs do not generally get pushed onto Gnome (I've reported a few) so I presume KDE users are viewed as second-class.

Not sure what the "KDE Program" is in this context. Are you referring to the kubuntu-desktop package, desktop itself, plasma applet or basically anything not Gnome?

There is zero benefit from tracking little bugs here. If KDE fixes them they will be put into the next KDE point release and made available to Kubuntu. Bugs reported just here will rot until we get more power to triage them. so until then, please just report these bugs to KDE.
