Bug Description

Binary package hint: liferea

To replicate:
1. untar the tar.gz to your home under .liferea
2. launch liferea
3. watch liferea hang and consume all available cpu

Something is wrong with "cache" because when I deleted it from my profile, it started working again.

sorry, typo. I meant cache/feeds in that tar file.

I just tried your profile with liferea 1.0.23 on Ubuntu 6.10 (amd64).

It hogged my CPU for about fifteen seconds, appearing to hang, but then appeared to work fine. It also exhibited the same behaviour after being started again.

Deleting the cache file does indeed result in a faster startup.

So something's not right, but at least it's not a complete hang.

just sent upstream, maybe they can solve it (I'm just worried that it's a security issue)
