Bug Description

After updating from Jaunty to Karmic my laptop doesn't shut down - just freezes. Each time I try to shut (or restart) Karmic it freezes at the same moment - black screen and white ubuntu logo. I tried waiting for 15-20 minutes, but nothing ever happens - I have to hold the power button to shut it down..... Not sure what else to say, that's it basically...

DamianR, you are in luck! I am setting this bug as a duplicate of bug 468589

On that page, there should be a testing .deb file available for you to try, or you can wait for an update.
