Bug Description
After updating from Jaunty to Karmic my laptop doesn't shut down - just freezes. Each time I try to shut (or restart) Karmic it freezes at the same moment - black screen and white ubuntu logo. I tried waiting for 15-20 minutes, but nothing ever happens - I have to hold the power button to shut it down..... Not sure what else to say, that's it basically...

DamianR, did you happen to originally install Ubuntu using wubi (from Windows)?
