If you try to run "Verify Local Data" on the torrents, does the data reappear?

If you try "Set Location" so that Transmission looks for the torrents' local data on the disk again, does the data reappear?

No, he change local data on the disk.
To solving problem, I needed:

$ mv /home/robersonfox/vídeos/dvd/bigbuckbunny /home/robersonfox/vídeos/

the old path was: /home/robersonfox/vídeos/dvd/
and he change to: /home/robersonfox/vídeos/

thus, If I try to run "Verify Local Data", nothing happens.
The default localization to save torrents is: /home/robersonfox/vídeos/

I don't understand. Are you saying that the torrent's files got moved overnight?

more or less, is the second time this occurs, some six months ago the Transmission crashed and it happened.

I still don't understand. :)

Transmission doesn't have any way to move all the torrents at once... you can move them one at a time with the "Set Location" feature, but it doesn't sound like that's what you're talking about here.

Do you know how the files got moved?

he did not move, he recreated, I think, therefore, when he hears the crash, he probably lost the place were the data torrent, then recreated them in the default location, like a new torrent file. Understand now?

Odd that this happened with Transmission 1.75. It's got at least two safeguards to prevent this:

1. When a torrent's resume data changes (including what's been downloaded, and what directory it's been downloaded to), Transmission saves that data in the .resume file.
2. If Transmission thinks it downloaded data for a torrent, but then can't find that data on startup, it should stop the torrent and give the error message "Can't find local data. Try ``Set Location'' to find it, or restart the torrent to re-download."

Just to confirm, are you certain that this happened with Transmission 1.75?

Did you re-add the torrents by hand after restarting Transmission?

I don't understand how to recreate this. Linking back to the post that I asked for clarification on isn't particularly helpful.

I'll try to explain again, I quit Transmission working at night and when I woke up there was an error and could not log into my Linux, but not kernel panic, probably a bug in the X interface or know it, is that after turning off and connect my laptop all the downloads were at zero percent, some were already finished and I was just Seeding, all went to zero percent, another factor is that the Torrents (data) are automatically re-created in the default directory.

Sorry my english.

I feel bad that you lost data, but still am not sure how this is a Transmission issue. It sounds like there is something wrong with your system... Transmission wouldn't even be able to lock you out of your desktop.

I wish there was some way to help, but it sounds very much like a hardware or system issue, rather than a Transmission bug. Unless there's some way to reproduce this behavior, I don't think there's any way to move forward on this ticket. Please don't hesitate to submit bug reports in the future. Thanks again!
