Modal popups fade out only half-way: clunky looking transition between popup and browser

Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to 'DEVICES & SHARES' > 'This Computer' and press the '+' button on any folder (= find a way to make a modal popup appear)
2. Press the 'Cancel' button of the 'ADD SOURCE' popup that should have appeared
Expected Result:
The popup fades out smoothly up to being completely invisible.
Current Result:
The popup fades out smoothly up to being half invisible and suddenly disappears.
