Not even working after login/logout. Usb-creator always reports zero free space after formatting, and logging out logging in just reports that the device needs to be formatted again.

I'm unable to get a single bootable device created with usb-creator.

Confirm with 9.10 Karmic Koala - cannot create anything because it reports 0 free bytes after formatting

As a workaround try formatting the stick in gparted to FAT32 and set bootable flag on.

Removing a DVD from my system got this working for me. Otherwise, usb-creator seemed to be basing my USB device's necessary free space on that disc, even after I selected the Ubuntu ISO (wouldn't recalculate).
