Vim embedding not working

Bug Description
I'm using Breezy. I have installed Kdevelop3, vimpart, and Gvim (vim-python actually - could this be the problem?).
After setting it up in Kcontrol, I can't get Kdevelop3 to see Vim as an editor (just advanced text editor, and Quanta text editor, or something like that).
Even after selecting in the Component Chooser the Embedded Text Editor to use the Embedded Vim.
Bug or not?

vimpart is no longer available in kubuntu due to it being buggy
