Sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to say. Could you be more
specific? What did you do, what is the issue, what happens, and what should happen?

   affects ubuntu/nautilus-share
   status incomplete

I just wanted to make a specific folder sharable and visible on the
network(i have a second computer running ubuntu 9.10 too). I enabled the
"share this folder" option but i can't see the folder when clicking on
network at nautilus (happens at both PC's).
I also want to add that the required samba package was installed
successfully when i enabled the "share this folder" option for the first
time.

Please try opening nautilus and navigating to smb://localhost (Control+L to
bring up the location bar) on the machine that's hosting this share and seeing
if the share is listed there. Also, please attach your /etc/samba/smb.conf file
and the output of "net usershare info"

Sometimes it may take some time for shares to appear on a remote computer --
even Windows, where the smb protocol was originally used, can't detect shares
from other computers sometimes.

I can confirm that the share is listed at smb://localhost

I have also attached the smb.conf file and the output of net usershare

I'm setting this to nautilus, because nautilus-share is only responsible for creating shares. Nautilus detects remote shares using some other method. For the time being, a workaround would be to use smb://<ip address of computing hosting share>/<share name> to access it.
