UltraScan P991 color monitor no longer has 1024 x 768 at 75 Hz or 85Hz resolution option

After upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 (karnic) my monitors max (preferred) resolution is not available.
The UltraScan P991 color monitor has the following features:
    * Optimal Resolution & Refresh: 1024 x 768 at 75 Hz or 85Hz
    * VIS (viewable image size): 457 mm (17.952 inches)
    * Aperture Grill Pitch: 0.24 (center) - 0.25 mm (edge)
