After upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 (karnic) my monitors max (preferred) resolution is not available.
The UltraScan P991 color monitor has the following features:
* Optimal Resolution & Refresh: 1024 x 768 at 75 Hz or 85Hz
* VIS (viewable image size): 457 mm (17.952 inches)
* Aperture Grill Pitch: 0.24 (center) - 0.25 mm (edge)
