Bug Description
Binary package hint: util-linux
File system check at boot time is normally performed on my Karmic AMD64, but if the partition to check is very large, the check is done in background. It means that the kernel can caontinue the boot operations, while the check on the partition is performed.
That is great because otherwise I had to wait for a long time before the boot is completed.
The partition appears unmounted when the desktop in functional and some minutes after, when the check ends, the partition is autiomatically mounted.
But, if the partition being checked contains files needed at the desktop launch (i.e.: databases, or simply photos or musics used in desktop start) the desktop manager goes in mess.
Is it possible to force the kernel to wait the end of the file system check for a specified partition?
