apt no internet

Bug Description

I installed Ubuntu 9.10, all my hardware works fine. I can install .deb packages, but apt fails to download anything from the internet. My internet connection works fine.

Can you upload your /etc/apt/sources.list and the log file generated by the command :

sudo aptitude update > aptitude.log 2>&1

I found out that this was an error in the proxy settings. I was using chromium, and that had different proxy settings than the rest of the computer, so the browser worked while system things did not. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I am unsure on how to delete this bug report, as I am new to the whole idea of online support. In addition I would appreciate it if someone could tell me how to delete this bug report now that the problem has been fixed.

You should change the status to "incomplete".
