Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I fresh installed Karmic Koala amd64 and tried to config compiz the same way I had before in Jaunty and when trying to config viewport switching keybindings and mousebindings I found this bug. First I have desktop wall enabled with 5 desktops, and i found easy switching way by clicking (or ricght clicking) in the very edge (left edge) of my screen. the left or normal click moves to left and the right click moves to the right desktop and this worked fine since Intrepid Ibex when i started to use it. Now in karmic i tried to do the same and found that the mouse bindings do not work for the right-most desktop. This is like imagine the desktops in the following order 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and you start in the #1 ... the mouse binding do not work in #1 desktop... but it works in the ones in the middle. And i noticed that after configuring the bindings, when i wanted to verify the bindings i found that they are not shown unless you click on it... may be this is part of the same bug. see the screenshots.

I discovered that the thing is not restricted to the #1 workspace... it is more general, the switching binding do not work if there is some window selected or raised. if i click in the desktop, so no window is selected (all window borders turn gray) the binding works and this is for all desktops... but, if there is some window selected (I have enabled the focus follows mouse option and autoraise after 0.7 secs)... the binding do not work and you get stuck in the workspace you are...

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance.
