Bug Description

In system-settings/global keyboard shortcuts I want to assign keypad/numpad keys but when I click on "custom" and it displays "input..." it shows that I've clicked the non-keypad/numpad variant.

For example I can't assign Meta-keypad+ global shortcut to Amarok - it thinks I meant Meta-+.

What's even more confusing is that Meta-+ doesn't work at all, but Meta-- does.

And just for chuckles if you try to assign Meta-+ to Amarok/increase volume, where the default is Meta-+ anyway, it complains that Meta-+ is already assigned!

I have a Compaq Presario A975EM with a "Full size desktop keyboard (with separate numeric keypad layout)".
I changed the keyboard layout from "Generic 101-key PC" to "Laptop/notebook (eg. Presario) Internet Keyboard".

I'm still getting the same problem but at least now I'm no longer getting the "already assigned" message.
