can not share desktop via gmail

Binary package hint: empathy

I use empathy and configured gmail account.

I can share my desktop using empathy to users in local network.

But, the can not share desktop to the gmail users who are in remore network. i.e not in local network.

kindly look this and repair this bug.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

This bug is quite old. Can you test in Lucid or Maverick? Thanks!

I tried this in Lucid between ubuntu and another linux distro and it worked fine for me. except for the fact it was slow as I have a slow connection.
