Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-image-virtual
When i install one Jeos (minimal image for virtual guests) in Jaunty or karmix i can see that if i do one:
# uname -a
It gives erroneos information:
Linux makina 2.6.28-16-server #55-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 20 20:37:10 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I think it is a serious failure which means that when we want to compile something with module-assistant, m-a really think that there is another kernel installed and build the module to linux-image-server instead for linux-image-
This is a very serious regression that happens in both jaunty annd karmic and I can not believe nobody has noticed it.

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately.]
This bug was reported against the linux-meta package when it likely should have been reported against the linux package instead. We are automatically transitioning this to the linux kernel package so that the appropriate teams are notified and made aware of this issue.
If this bug really is a bug in the linux-meta package you can move it back to linux-meta and set the Status to Confirmed, or contact us on the #ubuntu-kernel channel on the FreeNode IRC server. Thanks.
