Bug Description
I performed actualization from ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 on 3 laptop computers. The report is made on the Aristo 2600 computer, where the 9.10 version of the system works correctly. Only few files have not been installed during actualization process and were skipped. The same happened on Samsung X360 laptop. System 9.10 works, only few files were skipped.
The worst case happened during actualization 9.04 to 9.10 on Toshiba Satellite P100-218. The actualization manger stopped with a message that actualization is not finished succesfully. Then after restart the system 9.10 begins to work, but after about 20 seconds the screen becomes empty and system hangs.
On that computer I had to reinstall 9.04 version which works perfect.

Hi P_Rozmej,
Can you take a look at the https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/DebuggingUp dateManager . The logs that we'll want to have you collect and attach here are documented at that wiki (apt.log, term.log,main.log). It should hopefully contain some clues as to what failed during the upgrade. Also, it would be best to open up separate bug reports for each system that ran into an upgrade issue. We can easily mark the bugs as duplicates later on if they are indeed suffering from the same issue. Thanks.
