Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

I installed Ubuntu 9.10 on a new partition. The system already had another install of Ubuntu 9.10 (upgraded from 9.04) with Pidgin setup.

During ubuntu install I was asked if I wanted to import my pidgin contacts. I said yes.

When I first opened Empathy (through notification area envelope icon), I was asked if I want to import Pidgin contacts. I said yes. The Contact list opened, but nothing seemed to happen. I clicked Edit > Accounts and saw that I had an account, but I couldn't click Close. Under the Accounts window was an import window. I had to close this window first before I could close the other one.

NOTE: I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 with netbook-launcher and other Ubuntu Netbook Remix UI components installed (Maximo, window-picker-applet...). However, I noticed a similar issue when I first installed 9.10 on my other partition. (I just remember importing my contacts twice.)
