Bug Description
Steps to reproduce
1. Right-click somewhere to open a context menu
2. Press a global hotkey (e.g. Fn + Volume up/down, contrast up/down)
Expected behaviour: hotkey should work, volume should change/ contrast should change => notification should appear etc.
Current behaviour: nothing changes=> notification doesn't appear
Tried on Ubuntu 9.10 with all updates, libgnome 2.28.0-0ubuntu3.
