I was able to get this issue in xubuntu 18.04 64bit Live (April 15 daily ISO)
Apport gave me this summary: file-roller assert failure: free(): invalid pointer

I made a .zip file of a system theme Adwaita
attempted to drag/drop the containing file to the desktop
It seems to be reproducible with a rate of about 1 in 3 or 1 in 2
