Facebook plasma won't alow status update

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-facebook

The Facebook Plasma widget won't allow me to update my status. the status textbox (What's on your mind?) disappears after I click on it.Steps to reproduce.

1) Add the Facebook Plasma widget to the desktop plasma.
2) login to facebook through the plasmoid. ( a facebook account is needed)
3) as the plasmoid populates the timelines, Try to update status and notice how the textbox collapses and it won't let the user update the status.

What is expected:

Once I reach step 3, I should be able to write in the textbox and submit my status
