Bug Description
This has happened three times while trying to open PDF files. The PDF doesn't open, and I get a red ! in the task bar. Following its instructions leads me here. I admit I'm a little confused; the previous two times I didn't follow the instructions as far as this because I didn't know what was going on!
Please let me know if I can do something more useful next time the problem occurs.

In fact, I can't open evince. If I try to open evince, the "crash report" sequence begins.
This problem started since I upgraded 9.04 to 9.10.
If I could change the title of the bug, I would change it to "Can't launch evince after upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10".
