Bug Description

Binary package hint: tomboy

Description:

If setting up synchronization through tomboy ubuntu-one wants to add a new computer called "None" rather then using the computers actual name. (ie: moonglade)

In Tomboy Preferences:

1. Click on synchronization tab
2. Click "Connect to Server"

For me this results in an ubuntuone webpage being opened asking me if I want to add a computer with the name "None". I would rather it use my existing computer name which is already setup.

Additional notes:

If I enter in the correct computer name it will attach itself to the right system. I guess the actual bug is that it is using "None" by default.

Same for me. But the sync fails thereafter.

An error message pops up and tells me that the sync failed. In the details it seems everything went fine though. After the failed sync, new notes show up in the UbuntuOne web-interface, old ones (that where there already when I enabled syncing) not. It also seems, that some Notes where already on the server, because the error box tells me about incompatibilities and wants to rename notes although there are no notes in the web interface.

same for me on two different machines, one is a fresh install of lucid lynx, the other is a karmic upgraded to lucid beta 2.

I changed the name on the form with the correct one, it syncs nicely, but now I have both computers duplicated on the device tabs.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 and I don't have this problem. I configured tomboy and everything works well.

Is this problem still present on lucid (I mean with lucid-update, so version 1.2.2-0ubuntu1)?
