dclock broken in Karmic

Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

==> lsb_release -rd
   Description: Ubuntu 9.10
   Release: 9.10

==> apt-cache policy dclock
   dclock:
     Installed: 2.2.2-1
     Candidate: 2.2.2-1
     Version table:
    *** 2.2.2-1 0

I expect dclock to display the current time.
Instead, since my upgrade to karmic, I get the following display:

      88:88 88

   both packages still exist.
   yelp: Help browser for GNOME 2 ???
   dclock: Digital clock for the X Window System with flexible display

   what is the relation between them?
