Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfonts-terminus

hey

i upgraded 9.04 to 9.10 two days ago. i had xfonts-terminus installed before and it was upgraded in the process, but somehow the font was not available to any programs afterwards (tested abiword, openoffice, nfoview). executing "aptitude reinstall xfonts-terminus" fixed this problem. i am on amd64 with a quite standard ubuntu/gnome setup. any other infos needed?

That would actually mean that the package now is completely broken. Have you tried restarting your desktop session (e.g., reboot)? Fonts are sometimes not picked up without that...

sudo apt purge xfonts-terminus
sudo apt install xfonts-terminus
sudo fc-cache -f -v (terminus is not among the listed fonts)
(reboot)

Terminus font is not selectable anywhere.
