software-center crashes after launch

Bug Description

ubuntu software center in karmic koala crashes after it launches. this began 3 days after initiale installation.

here is the error output:

I was having the same problem. See #4 at:
   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/438366

 sudo apt-get remove --purge gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
This fixed it.
