Bug Description
Binary package hint: xubuntu-desktop
I've just installed xubuntu-desktop on top of a fresh kubuntu dapper rc install. After selecting the xubuntu-desktop package through Adept, I opted out a few packages like Firefox and then installed the whole thing. After installing I've noticed that the xfce desktop has a shortcut button that should launch firefox, eventhough firefox wasn't installed.
It would be nice if the presence of that particular button (or any other button that launches any application) depended on the installation of packages such as the firefox browser.

in non standard installs such as you have done there are expected to be such glitches. That button is there assuming you have made a default install of xubuntu. If that's not the case it can be removed manually.
