Bug Description

Binary package hint: foobillard

the only way to currently close foobillard is by killing it's process which is hardly user friendly.

I'm not sure what the issue is exactly so if you have any clues I'm more than happy to dig into it.

Same problem here on fresh 32-bit Karmic installation. Also, sound often doesn't work or stops working soon after game starts, even when no other application is using pulseaudio. Although sounds stops working, foobillard still shows up in pulseaudio in Sound Preferences => Applications, until I kill it. Didn't have either problem on Jaunty. Don't see any error messages in terminal or user.log.

Following up on my preceding comment, when I restart pulseaudio, I get sound back on foobillard and have no problem closing it, so in my case at least, the problem with closing foobillard seems to be related to pulseaudio.

When sound is not working in foobillard, and I restart it after killing it, I get the following message in syslog:

  pulseaudio[1825]: ratelimit.c: 4 events suppressed

Sometimes it's 2 or 3 events suppresssed.

Following up further: If I try to close foobillard in the ordinary way, and then kill pulseaudio, foobillard immediately closes without further action.
