Moving the lid of the laptop make Ubuntu going slow

Hi,

I have final version of Karmic Koala installed since friday on a laptop Compaq 6720s and when I move the
lid without closing it (it's more than 45 degree open and I have just to move it of 1cm to reproduce the problem),
Ubuntu becomes unresponsive during 3-4 seconds (the mouse goes slow and the windows content disappear during
2 seconds)

I note I have this behavior only when moving downwards the lid. When monitoring the device activity, I can see this moving a little bit the lid :
