Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-notifier-kde
Update from jaunty to karmic fails.
Update-manager-kde asks if I want to update to latest "9.10" release. Selected ok, and upgrade hangs.
strace shows:
connect(11, {sa_family=AF_INET, sin_port=htons(80), sin_addr=
proxy has been configured in the "http_proxy" env variable, gconf key and kde control center, /etc/apt/apt.conf, yet update-manager chose to connect directly to internet.
normal security updates via update-manager-kde / apt-get install commends work fine.
packages installed on jaunty:
rc update-manager 1:0.93.34 GNOME application that manages apt updates

ii update-manager-kde 1:0.111.9 Support modules for Update Notifier KDE
