I forgot to add that just before the exit attempt the sound stopped working at all in ekiga (ie I was testing ring tones and one stopped to playback in the middle so I wanted to restart ekiga to see if it helps)

Ok, I can repeat this bug easy: here are the steps:
- open ekiga
- go to preferences -> sound events
- attempt to play sound for some event
ekiga will play only less than a second and then will start to consume a lot of cpu and will not exit without SIGTERM.

I'll provide stdout and strace log in a minute.

when ptraced it behaves a bit different: it plays sound with a lot of noise, starts to consume about 50% of cpu, but exit cleanly when quit is requested. gzipped strace output attached.

summary: - ekiga froze on exit attempt and started to consume 120% cpu
+ ekiga stops playing sound and starts to consume 120% cpu

Hi,

Can you reproduce using 3.2.6?

Medium? C'mon folks, VoIP software that can't play sound does not seem as a very useful one... For me it seems like critical...
