Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

A much-improved version of gpredict was recently released (version 1.1). Would it be possible for you to test this new version to see if it fixes the problem on your system? The new gpredict version is available in the upcoming Ubuntu Lucid release, and the author of gpredict has kindly provided a Karmic PPA version as well: https://launchpad.net/~alexc/+archive/gpredict

Please advise us whether gpredict 1.1 fixes the problem for you, and thanks again!
