Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I'm using Ubuntu Karmic and a Nvidia 8400 video card (256 mb) with drivers enabled.
I typed compiz in a terminal and the system locks for 5 seconds, when the system unlocks, I waited one minute and then I closed the terminal because compiz doesn't run.
My compiz version is 1:0.8.4-0ubuntu2.

The 5 second delay is normal, that's compiz starting up and redirecting all of your windows. The crash is a dupe of bug 392850.
