Bug Description

Binary package hint: kaffeine

No problems scanning for dvb-t channels with an Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-T tv stick, but, when I choose one to watch in the list, an error occurs: "Cannot find demultiplexer plugin for the given media data". I get this report just with Kubuntu 9.10, my tv stick does work perfectly with Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10.
My hw is:
Asus A8N-SLI Premium (skt 939)
Amd athlon 64 x2 4400+
1 GB ddr 400
Asus en7800 gtx 256 MB
Thanks!

I have a similar problem relating to demultiplexer plugin.

I can get the channel list, but cannot play. Once double click on a channel to play, Kaffine will say "
Kaffine says "Cannot find demultiplexer plugin for the given media data".

My specs:
ubuntu 9.10
tv card: AVerTV Hybrid Volar HX A827 .
tv card driver ((http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=293&tab=APDriver)):
"Version
0.10 Beta
 Date: 2009/11/26
OS Linux x86"

---------
first time uninstall / install libxine1-ffmpeg, it works for a while, can play one channel, when i tried to change a channel by double click on another channel, it started displaying the above error message again. And this time uninstall / install won't work any more, now cannot watch any channels (including the previous can-watch one).

I have the same problem. Early in the first installation Kaffeine DVB allowed to see, when you install the VLC player, Kaffeine stopped working. No matter how many times you install or reinstall libxine1-ffmpeg or libavcodec-Unstripped-52. I tried purging and elmiminar VLC and the problem persists.
