Bug Description

Binary package hint: libao-pulse

After I updated today from 9.04 to 9.10 I have no single sound. The Alsamixer crashed when I tried to run. Checking the PulseAudio I discovered that I can see an input device either default.
I've been having sound problems since the time I used GNU/Debian. The first time I installed 9.04 I have problems with Alsamixer because my computer detected two sound devices, so I have to blacklisted the USB sound device and used only the AC97 device, part of mi Intel D865PERLD. But after the today update to 9.10 I lost all my sound devices.
Regards,
Juan Manuel

Please make sure you choose to reboot into the Karmic kernel (2.6.31), not the Jaunty one (2.6.28). Notice that you're still using the Jaunty one.

Well, thank you very much. I edited the menu.lst to not show me the old kernels and maybe something . A very simple issue was the problem.
I reedit the menu.lst and reboot into the 2.6.31-14 kernel and all is working fine.
Kindest regards,
