Could oyup lease run:
$ ls -l /var/crash
in a terminal and output the content to this report? Also any crash file that got created at (roughtly) the time of the ugprade.

That I don't know. It occurred during an online distribution upgrade (Kubuntu 9.04 -> 9.10), so I don't know whether it's a bug in gxine or an problem with the upgrade-manager

Affecting to gxine. This may be caused by a hardware failure. If you're still experiencing this issue then start the "Memory check" from the boot menu

affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) → gxine (Ubuntu)

It's probably xine-list-1.1 again, in which case the correct (binary) package is libxine1, which I see was also upgraded in the same run. I also couldn't help noticing "core dumped"; any chance of a backtrace?
