This happens to me every time i open emphaty in lucid 64 bits.

telepathy-butterfly crashes just suddenly and randomly, but it doesn't affect Empathy, unless I sign out from MSN, when it's unable to it connect again.

Thank you for your bug report. could you add an empathy debug log it would help us to debug the issue?
You can get it in the empathy help, debug dialog by selecting butterfly in the combo, check for informations you don't want to share before adding it there though and clean those or just copy the chunk before the crash
