cant use x or gdm with encfs

Bug Description

i am able to login fine with my test account but am unable to start x
because of a failure to lock ICEauthority.

i use drop_permissions like you shoud and have confirmed that it works - .ICEauthority is created as owned by user test...but every time i get the error that i cant lock it...

  - i have allow_other, default_permissions, user=test2 listed as mount options...

when i export ICEauthority=/tmp/.ICEauthorit-$USER
i can start x...but still no go for gdm...

shouldnt lock files work without needing these hacks to put them in /tmp?

would be grateful for help...im on ubuntu dapper...

What parameters did you use when creating the enfcs filesystem. Some options prevent creating hardlinks in the filesystem, which may be required by ICEauth.

Just a note that the default intrepid and jaunty encrypted ~/Private and ~ work fine with available display managers (and thus X Window System)
