Can you please open a terminal and run:
$ ls -l ls -l /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/pygst.py
$ dpkg -l python-gtk2
$ sudo apt-get install -f

And attach the output?

Afterwards, please run:
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure python-gtk2
$ update-manager
and let me know if that helps or if its still the same error?
