Confirming this bug on a fresh Karmic install.

Additional info: This issue only affects mult-part image attachments. Attachments contained in a single post display as expected. Saving is not affected: all saved images are complete. Only inline display is affected.

According to http://<email address hidden>/msg06288.html a fix has been submitted upstream, but has not yet been released on the main website.
