no sound and alert send NULL

after upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10 rythmbox does'nt play sound anymore
but the video player does.

I think it's is reproductible but not sure, cause it really depend from hardware machine.
maybe trying to upgrade from a 9.04 full upgrade to a 9.10.
i upgrade to 9.10 in other laptop and it does the same, but without alert message.

about alert message : i saw it tiwice
it is a classic modal box with "NULL" text message which appears by play button click.
