Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

With desktop effects enabled in Ubuntu 9.10, when clicking the minimize button on empathy's contact list window, the window minimizing effect goes toward the notification icon of empathy, and not toward its task bar button.

This is confusing because it looks like it is closing (residing only in the notification area) and not just minimizing.

Steps to reproduce:

0. Enable desktop effects -- to such a degree that the minimize effect is enabled. I have not tested the Minimize Effect plugin versus the Animations plugin.
1. Open empathy.
2. Click the minimize button on its window title bar.

This is more a compiz bug. It also happens with rhythmbox for example.
