I just hit this while trying (and failing) to connect to a wifi access point, so network manager kept trying to reonnect me to another known network. Lots of (dis)connects.

I also have experienced continuous connects and disconnects during my first use of Ubuntu One.

And when I tried to manually disconnect from Ubuntu One (using the "disconnect" option on the cloud icon on gnome panel) I have seen a warning message of a fatal error caused by Ubuntu One Client, that has generated an automatic report.

It seems that, in my case, Ubuntu One client crashed. The cloud icon on the panel disapeared. And I has not been able to connect again to Ubuntu One (using the "connect" link in Ubuntu One folder din't have any effect).

After rebooting, it works again, no more crashes.
