Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-media

the new 2.28 gnome-volume-control suppressed the "line-in as output" option which is necessary to me. i've been scouring the web for hours looking for a workaround, but to no avail.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

i am well aware that this bug is upstream. i've reported here first primarily to know if there is a clean workaround (downgrading to gnome 2.26? or a /sys trick ?)
