It worked on my second try. Most likely an incomplete repository mirror.

Retry on the next day worked for me too. Servers must have been busy indeed.

I reported this bug already on October 9th. I don't think the servers were overloaded on October 8th and 9th when I doing the beta upgrade on my netbook. However a regular upgrade for my desktop worked out fine.
